What makes you tick?
What's your favorite method to re-learn and recall stacks of notes for your exams? Why does it work for you? Would you like to experiment with your revision methods?
I make brainstorms with colour codes for specific subjects. It works for me because the short points in the brainstorm make me remember well easily, and also helps me visualise it well.
I would like to experiment with my revision methods, when I have free time.
My Favorite method to learn and remember notes for my exams, is doing brainstorms and writing notes clearly with diagrams and pictures. Another method is also writing down all the key words for that certain topic and by each key word add a basic detail of what the key word symbolizes.
I personally would prefer using flash cards and mind maps because by using flash cards, you can start asking questions about the topic as information will gradually "come back to you". Before using the flash cards, I would make a mind map of the subject therefore I will have a overview of the subject i am going to revise
I like to simplify long paragraphs of text into short 1 or 2 sentences. This allows me to rebuild paragraphs in my head without memorizing huge blocks of text.
Read the text, then transfering it on paper without looking at the text. Each definition with different pen colours and also highlighting the key points and numerals.
My favorite method for remembering notes for my exams is doing brainstorms and writing notes clearly. Write notes with diagrams and with pictures. Another method would be underlining the key words and stating what the key word symbolizes.
Probably experimenting with my revision methods would be a good idea - I'd like to try out more mind-maps to see if they help me revise, and possibly use time-lines as well. I would like to find a successful revision method, as I've never really found one that's both fun and effective before.
i enjoy using mindmaps as i am more of a visual learner rather than storing information due to listening to a teacher simply telling me the topics and such. I also use flashcards because when I am in an exam, i am able to return to them as they are easier to remember than black and white information.
I like revising in small groups of people because it is more interesting and entertaining and you can share ideas (networking) and visually work to an interllectual extent.
Making Mind Maps. This is because it gives me notes of the subject and it's easy to remember.
ReplyDeleteI usually like to use flash cards, but im open to try any other methods that might help my exam grades.
