Slumdog Millionaire
Just started to watch this great movie last night and it got me thinking about memory: how does Jamal remember all the correct answers to factual questions when under pressure? If you got to watch the movie, then post your responses
Jamal was able to recall an answer to each question because the questions all linked back to an event he had experienced in his life. Therefore, it has been imprinted in his mind, so when the question is asked he would think back to how he learned the answer and why which makes it a lot easier.
Just want to say the movie was great! And from the movie, it seems like Jamal is a kinetic learner, because all his answers were from past memories. His long term memory must be amazing for him to remember those key factors in his life. And assuming they were very important memories, the pressure probably didn't affect him at all.
I also just watched this great movie about two weeks ago. And i have to say it definately deserved the oscars. i believe jamal was able to remember those things was because for every answer there was a story behind it. Some were good and entertaining stories. Whilst others were rather sad and tragic. And for those who havent seen the movie, Jamal's brother(i cant remember his name) dies!!!! and Jamal lives happily ever after with the central female character!
I just want to say the movie was great! I think Jamal is a kinetic learner on how the movie explores they key factors that he remembers in his life. Because the memory is very important and significant to him, the pressure from the show shouldnt affect him much because it was already buried into his subconscious long time ago.
The movie was amazing. I just wanted to say how I feel that Jamal was able to recall the events because not only was it related to his childhood, but because it was particularly traumatizing and therefore he was able to remember it in full detail.
