Should written exams be banned?

Are exams a good test of your abilities? If so, why? If you'd like to see exams banned, what form of assessment would you prefer?

    Exams are important for students to know the amount of knowledge we have on the subject.

    we should stick with exams. Who would want a long term assessment? Way better to do them all at once!

    i feel that written exams shouldn't be stopped however people should be allowed to choose to either do written exams or aural exams

    i would prefer a mixed assessment. a mixture of written, oral, listening, practical etc. this would be far more useful as it would also display communication SKILLZ and we all know they are vital in modern day society. it would also be a lot more interesting for an examiner to mark.

    I think that exams should not b banned as they are a very useful in showing a candidate's abilities. They show a very good overview of the pupil's ability to be under pressure as well as being able to concentrate for a long period of time. However, the flipside of exams is that they do not how the practical side of someone. hence, you the examiners introduced the syllabus with coursework :D

    I think exams are worth taking even though it may seem like one of the worst things to do in life, but it allows us to test our knowledge under certain circumstances.

    life,career,what we have to become in our future,GK,this all depends on exams only. they are very usful for us and very friendly to us as they give their friendship till college. i,family,friends think that exams should not be banned without anyreason!- shreya patil.
